The odds are long when you walk into a Las Vegas Casino on the strip. The massive hotels on the strip do not pay their enormous electricity bills by losing. It is often you, “the gambler,” who pays those electric bills for the casino.
The analogy is applicable today for former President Donald Trump. The casino in his case is Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg, Fulton County prosecutor Fanni Willis, Special Prosecutor Jack Smith, the Democrat Party, and the mass media. The odds of this gambler winning big in this case is next to zero. The simple fact is there are too many dragons to fight, and Trump is fighting them alone. Whatever analogy you care to use, “the deck is stacked on the blackjack table, the roulette wheel is rigged, the slot machines are set never to pay off,” all are applicable in this case.
Beginning with the charges against Trump back in Manhattan Island, New York. Almost unbelievably, DA Bragg got “felony charges” brought against the former President for his payments to Stormy Daniels (the porn star). Most agree (legal eagles) that this case was a stretch at best for prosecution, but nevertheless, Bragg got it done. Now the problem for Donald Trump is this.
The case against Trump is set to go to trial in March. The revered Attorney and former Harvard Law Professor Alan Dershowitz has publicly stated that Trump will likely be found guilty in this venue, with who the Judge is and who the jury will be. If this is the case, then Trump will have been guilty of felony charges, thus taking him out of the running for President. Dershowitz did add that he would almost certainly be acquitted on appeal; however, this could take a year or more to transpire, and Trump will have missed the bulk of the primary season to garner the necessary delegates needed to win the nomination.
The Democrats are not placing all their bets on Bragg. They are adding more firepower with the Fulton County (Atlanta) Georgia case for election interference and a suitcase of extra charges against the former President. Again, most legal eagles expect the Grand Jury to recommend felony (all or nearly all of which are) charges. If you’ve noticed (or may not), she is holding off for the time being to time these charges, again, where Trump is taken out of the primary process.
Then we have the Jack Smith investigation over the January 6th issue and the “Top-Secret” document issue from the Mar-A-Lago raids that the FBI performed. For those of you who never served in the military ( I did), I can assure you that the Federal Government takes “Top-Secret” issues very, very seriously. The problem for the President here is that he claimed that he had declassified these documents when, according to the National Archives and the FBI, he did not. And to add insult to injury, now a recording has surfaced where Trump admits to several aids in a public setting about documents involving a raid into Iran (which were labeled Top-Secret), and Trump had not declassified them. It is rumored that Smith will ask the Grand Jury for Espionage Charges over these documents regarding Trump.
Many will claim (and rightfully so) that we now have a very biased FBI and Department of Justice. While that may well be true, the fact is Trump is facing Mt. Everest in terms of legal actions against him. It doesn’t matter (for Trump) that Hillary was not prosecuted, or Obama was not prosecuted, or that Biden is not being prosecuted. All of that doesn’t matter. What does matter is Donald Trump is being charged.
It doesn’t matter who planted the bomb. It didn’t matter when they planted the bomb. What matters is you have less than 1 minute to get out of the way or be blown up.
Trump nation; The sad truth is this. Yes, Hillary walked, and we know why she walked. She knew too much and was a former First Lady, United States Senator, and Secretary of State. She is part of the deep state swamp, and everyone knows it. The same is true of the Biden family.
Trump’s problem was he went to Washington threatening something that has been in place for decades. In other words, he went to war with a Grizzly Bear and was only carrying a fly swatter. Was it his naivete that cost him so much? Maybe it was his ego thinking he was so popular he could dismantle a decades-old cabal by himself.
We are now at the juncture today whereby we, as Trump supporters, must begin thinking about the future of both the party and the nation, and the simple truth and reality is Trump will not be a part of our plan going forward.
The Democrats and the legal system will ensure that Donald J. Trump will not be a part of America’s political future.
Former VEEP Mike Pence knows what’s coming for Donald Trump. This is likely “why” he thinks he can win the nomination and run for President. Remember, Pence was interrogated by Jack Smith and gave depositions. He knows; he knows exactly what they are about to do. This is why Pence is announcing tomorrow in Des Moines, Iowa.
In an article published by the website “Just the News” reports that the Federal Government has (as of today) informed the Trump legal team that “criminal charges” are imminent for the former President.
It is without question that in January 2017, Donald J. Trump became one of the most popular Presidents of our time. Four years later, he became a President fighting for survival. Today, he is besieged with a trial in New York City over a pornography actress, a possible indictment in Georgia for election interference as well as a host of other charges, and now the very likely reality of being indicted for instigating an insurrection against our Democratic process and Espionage for retaining classified documents.
For any other politician in America, it would be (as the old Willie Nelson song goes), “Turn out the lights, the parties over.”
Can the former President pull off the political miracle of the century? Can he “beat the odds” and win a second term against forces hell-bent on his destruction? Only time will tell.
