January 20, 2017, is a day that will live in infamy for Former President Donald Trump. After his inauguration as President of the United States, one of the first things on his list was to ban lobbying at many levels within Capitol Hill and the White House.
If you happen to be a former Congressman, Senator, or one who plans to retire from public service in two years, this five-year ban will likely cost you millions of dollars. This is part of the “swamp” which Trump pledged to drain, and drain he did. However, the problem for Trump is he has now infuriated many power brokers on Capitol Hill, and he almost immediately began paying the price for this infraction of the “Good Old Boy” network. It would not be long afterward that we started hearing about “Russia-Russia-Russia,” so it went on for this entire term as President—scandal after manufactured scandal.
And this is where President Trump made his critical political error early on. One of the more lucrative benefits of becoming a Congressional leader is that you do your time (whatever you desire, be it four years, six years, or 20 years), then you “retire” to an extraordinarily lucrative position with Pfizer, General Dynamics (or whatever corporation that was associated with the Committee you sat on) as a “Lobbyists” on Capitol Hill. These positions often pay seven digits and up a year for the retired Legislator.
Looking at Pfizer for a moment, let’s ask this question. “When in American history have you ever heard of the Federal Government paying for medication or vaccines for an entire nation, plus passing out millions of doses FREE (or very cheap) to other nations at taxpayer expense?” While it cannot be proven (or likely cannot), Pfizer convinced the government that their vaccine (which is not actually a vaccine) would save millions upon millions of lives. Still, the government needed to foot the bill for this mass vaccine push. And they did! To the tune of billions of dollars of profit for Pfizer and their stockholders. It would be “lobbying” that accomplished this monumental scam on the American people. And Donald Trump had put up a significant roadblock to this very lucrative occupation. Now, he became “ENEMY NUMBER ONE” in the eyes of the “Good-Old-Boy” network.
How much is a position worth for a retiring Congressional Leader (who sat on the Military Appropriations Committee) for Lockheed Martin (who manufactures fighter jets)? How much is Lockheed willing to pay to get a contract worth $1.0 Trillion for a new fighter plane to sell to the Navy? How much is it worth to General Dynamics to garner a $40 Billion deal for a new tank for the Army? These positions with these corporations pay millions to these Congressmen to hustle their former colleagues into purchasing (again at taxpayer expense) these new playtoys for the military. The company stays in business, the United States obtains a new toy to kill enemies, the Congressman can now afford that new vacation home in Palm Springs, and everyone is happy. Well, almost everyone, you still have the American taxpayer on the hook for that massive debt that our nation has incurred.
The “Good-Old-Boy” network, the Democrat Party, many in the Republican Party, and the mass media have now spent years working on ways to keep the Former President from being re-elected. Up to and including very “weak” charges to find him criminally liable (if need be) to prevent his re-election. While the American people loved their “Bull in the China Closet—meaning the Former President,” the “Establishment” and “Status-Quo” crowd on the Hill are near panic-stricken at his return to the Oval Office.
The question is, can all these charges and trials prevent Trump from returning to the White House?
Donald Trump began his campaign to regain the Presidency with five trials, which could have prevented him from achieving his goal.
- The infamous Michael Cohen–Stormy Daniels “payoff” trial brought by the corrupt Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg. Bragg will undoubtedly win this trial because of the jury pool in very liberal New York City. At least that is the prediction of famed legal scholar Alan Dershowitz. Trump will win this one on appeal. However, the appeal won’t transpire until after the RNC Convention and election. This trial is criminal, and the question will be “if” the Republican Party is willing to let Trump accept the nomination with a criminal conviction hanging over his head.
- The “rape then defamation” saga involving E. Jean Carroll. This one doesn’t involve any criminal charges, and once again, the Former President ran into a very biased Judge who slapped him with a mind-blowing $83,000,000 settlement. Trump will, without question, win this one on appeal; however, again, the appeal won’t transpire for likely another year or more.
- The Atlanta, Georgia, trial regarding election interference being brought by Fulton County District Attorney Fanni Willis seems to be falling apart largely due to Willis’s obvious corruption issues regarding her boyfriend, to whom she paid exorbitant amounts of taxpayer cash. In addition to the ridiculous fees she paid his firm, she has admitted to taking vacations with him while he was married at taxpayer expense. This trial is likely to go away.
- The Special Prosecutor Jack Smith’s witchhunt trial that he seeks over the January 6 protest on Capitol Hill also seems to have fallen apart. The Judge for this trial, which was scheduled to begin on March 4th has been postponed indefinitely.
- The Mar-A-Lago trial, which has been postponed until May in Central Florida, is the one out of all of these bogus (which many are) charges that can cause the Former President some major issues. Fact: President Trump did take some Top-Secret documents out of the White House. Fact: To declassify a document, Trump had to sign a form, and he did not. Fact: He told the National Archive folks that he did not have these documents when he knew that he did. Fact: He told the FBI he didn’t have them, then told his former Attorney and Butler to hide the documents. They did. The FBI found the files, and now he is facing several charges, which by law are “felony” charges. One is “Obstruction of Justice.” This trial could be devastating to the Former President if he is found guilty. The government takes Top-Secret material very seriously. President Trump needs one juror out of twelve in this trial to vote innocent to throw it into a mistrial in which he could be elected and then pardon himself. If not, he could face jail time over this document case.
At this point in time, the Democrat’s largest problem is convincing the American people that Donald Trump is NOT a victim of multiple witchhunts. The fact is, they did throw so much against the wall at Trump that the American people are left shaking their collective heads, and now we’re to the point that few, if any, believe that these multiple attacks and lawsuits (be they criminal or civil) are bogus.
It is patently obvious what the Democrat Party and even some of the Republicans have attempted to do to the Former President. They have timed all of these trials where they occur during the height of the campaign season. They have brought witchhunts and bogus charges and trials to make the President seem as though he is a Mafia Kingpin and are even attempting to bankrupt him with a trial whereby they are going to strip him of his ability to conduct business in New York City.
The public is not buying it. The voters are revolting against this very obvious “PILING ON” which the Democrats are manufacturing. At this juncture, it is very apparent that Donald Trump will be the nominee. The question now becomes: How does the Democrat Party sell this to the American people? The question for the Republicans is, “How do we nominate a candidate with a criminal conviction and run him in the general election next November?”
I will conclude with this. The American people are going to judge the treatment of Donald Trump very harshly by the Democrat Party and all those Republicans who failed to defend this President against what is unquestionably “Election Interference.”
