For decades, the Democrats and left-leaning (politically speaking) have railed against guns. “Guns, get up off the couch, march outside, and mow down innocent victims!” “It’s time to ban guns, particularly those evil weapons of war, the AR-15; it is the most sinister of all.” That may be overdramatic (slightly), but the characterization is pretty darn close.
To name but a few of the anti-gun crowd on Capitol Hill, there is New York Senator Chucky Schumer, who has been very vocal, Former Speaker Nancy (I get to Insider Trade) Pelosi, Former President Barack Obama, President Joe Biden and ‘oh-so-many-more,’ who have campaigned on taking away American’s Second Amendment rights.
Without question, Chicago, Illinois, is one of the most violent and crime-ridden cities on planet Earth. It seems as if every year, “The Windy” city breaks new records for murders and crimes committed with handguns. On any given weekend in summer, Chicago will have 25-50 shootings, leaving 15-20 young people dead in most cases. Since Chicago has become one of the flagship cities for “Defunding the Police,” these numbers will likely increase in the coming years.
The irony of Chicago is that this major metropolitan area is one of the hardest cities and states in America to obtain (if you can at all) a concealed carry permit to arm yourself with protection against the out-of-control crime in the area.
You need to be sitting down for this announcement, for as we used to say out in West Texas, “You ain’t gonna believe this sh*t.”
This past Friday, a Federal Judge in Illinois ruled that it is unconstitutional to restrict an illegal alien’s right to possess a gun.
Yes, you read that correctly. U.S. District Judge Sharon Johnson Coleman on Friday ruled that a federal prohibition on illegal immigrants owning firearms is unconstitutional as applied to defendant Heriberto Carbajal-Flores.
Technically speaking, this means that the 15-million plus illegal aliens (the Democrats call them immigrants) could all move to Illinois, where they are granted Sanctuary Status, go down to the local gun shop, introduce themselves as Pablo or Jesus (pronounced HeyZuez), and purchase a Glock. Since most, if not all, do not possess any legal identification, and since they are under Sanctuary Status, this too will probably be overlooked.
While some of the above is ‘tongue in cheek,’ the truth and reality is this.
We (meaning the Border Patrol) know that America has had some 2-million “got-aways” enter this nation. We know there has been a flood of illegal aliens enter from countries such as Yemen, Syria, Lebanon, China, Russia, Angola, and many more nations who are not particularly fond of the United States. Nearly all, if not all, are young men of military age. In recent months and over the past year, precious few families with children have been sneaking into our country.
Recently (in the past two weeks), FBI Director Wray testified before a Committee in Washington on Capitol Hill that it is no longer “if” America is attacked with a major terrorist operation but “when” we are attacked. The government has even elevated our warning status to the highest level since the disaster of 9-11.
This ruling by this Judge brings up a couple of questions for me personally.
- I was under the assumption that I would be protected by and granted rights under the Constitution of the United States, and I thought you had to be a United States citizen to have these rights.
- With that being said, how is an illegal alien granted Constitutional rights if they are not a citizen of this nation?
- What is to stop 15 young men from Yemen going to Illinois, purchasing AR-15s, driving up to a large shopping mall in Chicago, walking in and committing Jihad, and slaughtering 127 American citizens who are not armed?
Last question: As previously stated, for decades, Democrats have been anti-gun. The anti-gun activist (Parkland School in Florida) David Hogg has been on a mission to strip Second Amendment rights from law-abiding American citizens. Where is he now? Why isn’t he speaking out against this judicial ruling? Where is Jane Fonda, Robert DeNiro, Adam Schiff, or Jimmy Kimmel? Why is it o.k. for an illegal alien to buy guns in Illinois but not American citizens (without jumping through hoops)?
Let me get this straight in my mind. This administration allows millions of young men to enter our nation (many of whom are convicted criminals), and now we are going to arm them, and we don’t even know who many of them are.
Lock and load, America. This is about to get real, and it’s not going to be pretty.
