West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin could very well be the two-ton gorilla in the room. And almost unbelievably, most politico’s in this country have overlooked this smooth, suave, and very electable politician for the highest office in the land.
Last summer, Manchin announced that he would not ‘campaign for his Senate seat’ in 2024. Of course, this did raise quite a few eyebrows within the deep-seated political sphere of “candidate watching.” However, nothing much seemed to come from it at the time. As the weeks turned into months and ‘no word’ from Manchin on his intention, the possibility of him running for the Presidency seemed off the table. That is until recently.
Senator Manchin recently gave an interview to CNN where he said those famous words; “he is considering a run but has not made a final decision.” In the world of politics, that is a giant red flag, complete with a marching band playing in the background. To add insult to injury for the Democrat Party and Joe Biden’s campaign (if you can call it that), Manchin has now committed to attend an event in New Hampshire next month which is typically only attended by candidates for the White House.
Very quietly, the Democrats seem to be searching for “Corn-Pops” (primary Scranton nemesis), “Old-Joe Biden’s replacement.” The Democrats have trotted out California Governor Gavin Newsom, and there has even been spoken (in the smoke-filled backrooms) talk of a Michelle Obama campaign. Between Republican candidate Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’s recent debate with Newsom and the tens of thousands of photos across the Internet of tent cities, high gas prices, and California’s continual loss of people relocating, it seems as if Newsom may be done before he ever got started.
At this point, and with Biden’s dismal approval ratings, not to mention recent polling which shows him even losing to Elmer Fudd, the Democrats are scrambling for a replacement. No, they are not publically stating this, but believe, behind closed doors, there is much hand wringing and taking shots of vodka trying to come up with a solution to retaining the White House for the party of Donkeys.
West Virginia Senator Joe Manchin may just be their answer if the Democrats can set aside their massive ego, and Joe Biden would be willing to announce that he wants to go home, play with the grandchildren, and enjoy his millions of ill-gotten Chinese dollars. Who knows, Manchin might even be willing to pardon Joe in a deal to be the nominee. That is, if the Republicans can grow a pair and impeach this corrupt President before he leaves office. Then, the new Attorney General indicts him for treason against our nation. Yes, I am a bit biased, and I do, in fact, want to see Joe Biden stand trial for his many crimes against America.
With the Democrat’s recent (in years past) drift toward unbridled socialism, WOKE insanity, and fake climate alarmism, Joe Manchin is a breath of fresh air if you happen to be an old-fashioned patriotic union labor type who drives a pickup truck and works for a living. You remember those Democrats, the ones who voted for Kennedy, and Bill Clinton?
Manchin is most assuredly not a left-wing Nancy Pelosi or AOC loon. He is pragmatic, thoughtful, and conservative in many respects. Manchin could very well win it all if he does a couple of things.
- Campaign in the center. Do not worry about the fringe left, as there are not that many of them anyway.
- Do not pay any attention to the DNC or Joe Biden, and certainly do not attempt to defend his record.
- DO NOT under any circumstances attempt to run as an Independent. Tell the DNC to pound sand if they try to stop your campaign. Fight them in court if need be.
One thing Manchin will do is to stop the mass attack on fossil fuels such as coal. Again, Manchin has not bought into the fake climate change hook, line, and sinker as most of Capitol Hill seems to have. He has personally witnessed the fallout from Biden’s climate agenda in his state. And as far as I know, he has not witnessed any polar bears drowning from melting icecaps.
Hypothetically, if Manchin did get into this race, he would likely win the nomination for the Democrat Party. With Robert F. Kennedy’s dismantling of his once-growing campaign (due to mismanagement), Manchin stands a very good chance. This would undoubtedly throw a monkey wrench into this campaign season. Can Trump beat Manchin? Doubtful, largely because Manchin has not made any epic mistakes for Trump to attack and because Trump has lost a sizeable portion of his base.
In addition to Manchin being able to garner support from well over half of the Democrats, he would also appeal to many of the Independents and more moderate Republicans. Manchin could very likely grab up states such as Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, and Michigan. In a general election with (insert name of GOP nominee here), Manchin would, of course, nail down New York, California, New Jersey, and all of the typical blue states. Combine those states with two or three of the big rust-belt states, and he wins the White House.
The political reality is this. As much as I liked Donald Trump, the sad truth is that Trump brought too much drama to the Oval Office, and America is tired of that sort of conduct by its commander-in-chief. America is sick over the inability of Joe Biden to be honest, have a normal cognitive function, and properly manage the office of President. Be it Nikki Haley, Ron DeSantis, Vivek, or Joe Manchin, America is ready to return to some sense of normality in the White House.
