As with most ‘Special Prosecutors‘ or ‘Special Investigators,’ the target they begin investigating often broadens until the investigator is satisfied that he has obtained enough indictments to secure his place in history. The problem with these appointed officials is; they can go down whichever rabbit trail, foxhole, or cow path they desire. They have virtually unlimited funding and the ability to bring in as many investigating Attorney’s as they desire. And like every other Prosecutor (Remember Ken Starr?) where they begin is often not where they intended to be when the smoke clears.
In the case of former President Clinton, his investigation began with cattle deals, Wallstreet, resort real estate deals that were supposedly bogus and a law firm that was dirty involving all the above or so we were told. It ended with Bill Clinton’s most prized possession plastered all over a blue dress and the Impeachment of a President of the United States for lying to a Grand Jury about his sexual prowess with a White House Intern. Not to mention the broken lamp that Hillary was supposed to have hurled across the room at the President. Legend has it that Hillary was so infuriated (justifiably so) at the President that she began assaulting him and the Secret Service had to intervene to keep the President from being harmed by the flying lamps.
Over a year into Robert Mueller’s investigation of “Russian Collusion” between the Donald Trump for President campaign and the Russian government, we still have zero collusion. We do have Russian interference that has resulted in the indictments of more than a dozen Russian defendants.
“The conspiracy had as its object impairing, obstructing, and defeating the lawful governmental functions of the United States by dishonest means in order to enable the Defendants to interfere with U.S. political and electoral processes, including the 2016 U.S. presidential election,” the indictment states. There are 16 defendants, including three organizations and 13 individuals, who are charged with conspiracy to defraud the United States by impairing the enforcement of election law as well as wire fraud and bank fraud.
So far the Mueller investigation has netted the following indictments of which none were related to “anything to do with Donald Trump’s election.”
) George Papadopoulos, former Trump campaign foreign policy adviser, pleaded guilty in October to making false statements to the FBI.
2) Michael Flynn, Trump’s former national security adviser, pleaded guilty in December to making false statements to the FBI.
3) Paul Manafort, Trump’s former campaign chair, was indicted in October in Washington, DC on charges of conspiracy, money laundering, false statements, and failure to disclose foreign assets — all related to his work for Ukrainian politicians before he joined the Trump campaign. He’s pleaded not guilty on all counts. Then, in February, Mueller filed a new case against him in Virginia, with tax, financial, and bank fraud charges.
4) Rick Gates, a former Trump campaign aide, and Manafort’s longtime junior business partner was indicted on similar charges to Manafort. But he has now agreed to a plea deal with Mueller’s team, pleading guilty to just one false statement charge and one conspiracy charge.
5-20) 13 Russian nationals and three Russian companies were indicted on conspiracy charges, with some also being accused of identity theft. The charges related to a Russian propaganda effort designed to interfere with the 2016 campaign. The companies involved are the Internet Research Agency, often described as a “Russian troll farm,” and two other companies that helped finance it. The Russian nationals indicted include 12 of the agency’s employees and its alleged financier, Yevgeny Prigozhin.
21) Richard Pinedo: This California man pleaded guilty to an identity theft charge in connection with the Russian indictments, and has agreed to cooperate with Mueller.
22) Alex van der Zwaan: This London lawyer pleaded guilty to making false statements to the FBI about his contacts with Rick Gates and another unnamed person based in Ukraine.
Robert Mueller has apparently run to the end of his Russian rat trail and is now headed to the Middle East. Fox News is now reporting that his team is investigating campaign contributions from the United Arab Emirates to the Trump for President campaign coffers.
WHAT NEEDS TO HAPPEN NOW!
In my opinion; this has gone from a bad dream into the Twilight Zone. I can almost hear the eerie music playing in the background. When you look at the above charges, pleas, and indictments, NONE HAVE ANYTHING TO WITH THE ELECTION OR DONALD TRUMP. The sordid history of Robert Mueller and company are that all of them or nearly all of them are Democrats who were employed by the Obama administration at one level or another. Even the Obama team has not been able to find one shred of evidence that Donald Trump or his campaign team had anything to do with Russia meddling in our 2016 election process.
What is relevant is the $170,000,000.00 that was dumped into the Clinton Foundations checking account. What is relevant is the fact that Hillary signed off on some 20% of our nations uranium supply that was ultimately ending up in Iran for the nuclear weapons projects. What is relevant is that Hillary was using her own server which was housed in her bathroom closet for official government business, then lied about it in Congressional hearings. What is relevant is that our Justice System in this nation no longer has any credibility. Then we have James Comey. I don’t even know where to start with this clown.
That tragic truth is, the United States taxpayer is footing the bill for a “wild goose chase” and the only ones profiting from this is the law firm of Robert Mueller. It is long past time Mr. President for Jeff Session’s to come with charges against Hillary and company; then AG Sessions needs to terminate Robert Mueller and let’s get on with the business of the nation. If this can’t be done, then Session’s needs to go.
